Autumn 2022
April 2022
Mary is working on establishing a New Community-Focused Theatre based in Syracuse - Starting with a Contemporary Musical Theatre Cabaret Camp for Students Grades 3-12 over April Break!
Mary will use their experience in the world of Professional Theatre to help students build a "tool belt" of skills, techniques, and perspectives that will be instrumental in their continued experiences with Theatre: from School Productions to Collegiate Study to Professional work and beyond.
"In this week-long intensive, students will explore and develop a wide variety of theatre-based skills and technique in dance, singing, acting, artistic collaboration, and team-building. We plan to split students into groups based on experience in order to make camp an exciting and educational experience for ALL skill levels. We will spend the week rotating through various skills, masterclasses, and Q&A's, and exploring individual identity in artistry. We will be performing a mix of contemporary Broadway numbers and original arrangements of Broadway music suited to our campers' strengths!"

March 2022
Mary is currently celebrating Co-Directing/Co-Choreographing a successful run of The Spongebob Musical at their hometown alma mater, Fayetteville-Manlius High School. The show synchronistically closes exactly two years (to the day!) after Mary's experience with the First National Tour came to an untimely end because of COVID in March 2020. It has been such an incredible honor to collaborate with their longtime mentors (who have become dear friends) on a show that is so near and dear to their heart. After two years away from the stage, everyone in the production can relate to so many different themes laced throughout Spongebob. Between the uncertainty and all the feelings that come along with feeling as if the World is ending, the division between different social groups amidst crisis, and in contrast, the sheer joy that comes with leaving our inhibitions in the dust and embracing our communities, Mary feels this is the perfect time to bring a show like Spongebob to a community like F-M.

February 2021
On February 18th, 2020, Mary made their Playwriting & Directorial Debut with "I'm Zooming Out" as part of 3x10 Virtual Play Festival organized and produced by Garrett Heater. It was written through a process of interviews and conversations with Queer-identifying individuals in regards to their 'coming out' process, and compiled into a ten-minute script. The play tackles the pressures, joys, and altogether nuance of 'coming out' from the inside perspective of those expected to go through the process, and serves as a conversation starter around who 'coming out' is truly for. All proceeds from this event benefitted Believe in Syracuse's 'Writing for Our Lives' program, which connects emerging young writers in Central New York schools with experienced authors, poets, and performers.
